FOCUS STACKING

The Focus Stacking is a complex photographic technique with which a normally rather small subject is taken through several hundred shots which differ only for a very small fraction of focusing.
​Everything is then post produced  on the computer in order to obtain a single completely in focus image.
Cypraea

special technique of focus stacking

The gastropod Pecten jacobaeaus, commonly 
called Capasanta, whose shell is only 4 cm long, is taken with the special technique 
of focus stacking

Dollaro della Sabbia

Dimension: cm 62 x 42 @300 Dpi
The sand hedgehog Dendraster excentricus, 
whose skeleton is only 9 cm long, is 
commonly called the Sand Dollar. Here a 2 
cm portion is taken with the special focus 
stacking technique
